The Service is run by winterlog studio ("we", "us"). For Premium subscriptions, Apple, as merchant of record (reseller), takes payment, handles tax, and pays refunds, reselling the subscription on the App Store. We are the provider of the Service: we run it and answer your questions.

You must be at least 13 years old (at least 14 in Korea). If you are younger, please do not use the Service. The model provider, OpenAI, requires parental permission under 18, so if you are under 18, use Premium only with a parent's or guardian's permission.
Users in Korea: if someone under 19 paid without a legal guardian's consent, they or their guardian can cancel the contract. If they cancel, they get all the money back (Civil Act, Art. 5); ask Apple for the refund.
Ponte runs on macOS 26 or later. We update the app to fix bugs and keep it secure. If you do not install updates, some features may not work properly.
Usage limit For fair use, Premium usage is counted per month (from the 1st to the last day, in Coordinated Universal Time). Near the limit, translation can be slower, and at the limit Premium translation pauses until the 1st of the next month. Local model mode keeps working. The limit is shown in the app.
Changes and ending the Service We may change the Service and the usage limit to improve the Service or to keep up with changes by model providers, security needs, or legal requirements, and we do not charge you extra for it. We will announce changes that are unfavorable to you on this page at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel your subscription before the change. We will also announce it at least 30 days in advance if we end all or part of the Service (for example, Premium). Refunds for the remaining paid period follow Apple's refund policy.
What you get A Premium subscription lets you use Selection Translate, Quick Translate, and Screen Region Translate with cloud AI translation through our server. There is no model to install or set up. Downloading the app and local model mode are free without a subscription.
Price and payment Premium is a subscription that renews automatically every month or every year. The price is shown on the purchase screen in your local currency (in Korea, as a total including VAT). Apple charges the payment method on your Apple ID when the subscription starts and on each renewal date. You are responsible for the internet access and data charges for using the service.
Automatic renewal Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. The app's purchase screen says this too. Apple sends renewal and payment notices and receipts to your Apple ID email.
If the price goes up We give at least 30 days' notice before raising a price. Apple notifies you under App Store rules and asks for your consent where the law or Apple's rules require it. In Korea, your subscription renews at the higher price only if you explicitly agree. If you do not, you can finish the period at the old price or cancel, and we never charge the increase without your consent. If a price change is unfavorable to you, you can cancel before it takes effect at no extra cost.
Cancelling You can cancel anytime, in a few clicks, on the App Store, where you subscribed.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period to stop the next renewal charge. If you cancel in the middle of a period, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period, so you can use Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Cancelling mid-term to get money back for the remaining period follows the Right of withdrawal and refunds.
Ponte Premium is sold only on the App Store. Apple, as the seller and merchant of record (reseller), handles withdrawals and refunds under its policies and procedures, so you ask Apple. Your statutory rights are not affected. We do not restrict the right of withdrawal, even if you have already used Premium. Downloading the app and local model mode are free, so there is nothing to refund.

No AI feature judges or makes decisions about you.
Limits AI translations can be wrong, change the meaning, or add words that are not in the original, and they are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. For text you rely on for important decisions, such as contracts, medicine instructions, or safety information, check with a professional translator or the original. Translate text that contains health information or other people's personal data with a local model. You decide how to use translations, and you are responsible for that use.
Labels and consent The app shows a small "Created by AI." label under each translation, and we also say so in these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and the app's name on the App Store ("Ponte - AI Translator"). Before your first Premium translation, the app tells you that your text goes to the model provider, OpenAI, and asks for your consent. If you decline, nothing is sent and local model mode keeps working. You can withdraw your consent anytime in Preferences → Provider.
Reporting bad results If you see a wrong or inappropriate translation, tell us from the Ponte icon in the menu bar → Send Feedback…. It fills in your app version and translation mode, so paste in only what is needed. You can also send it to our email.
If you do, we may block those requests or suspend your use of Premium.
If we change these terms, we will announce the changes and the effective date on this page at least 7 days before the effective date (30 days if the change is unfavorable to you). If you do not agree to an unfavorable change, you can cancel your subscription before the effective date. We never treat you as having agreed to a change we did not announce. The effective date is at the top of this page.
Your license to the app is governed by Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA, https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/), and the terms of the Service by these terms. If they differ, these terms govern the Service. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the Service.
Where these terms differ from the Content User Protection Guidelines:
United Kingdom For subscriptions bought on the App Store, Apple, as the seller, handles the right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Service must be provided with reasonable care and skill; if it is not, you can ask for it to be provided again or for a price reduction.
United States Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel; how to cancel is in Subscriptions and payment. California users can contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (916) 445-1254 or (800) 952-5210 (Civil Code §1789.3). Send any copyright concern to our email.
Japan These terms are standard terms (teikei yakkan) under Article 548-2 of the Civil Code. When we change them, we will announce the changes and the effective date on this page before the effective date, as Article 548-4 requires. Under the Consumer Contract Act, any clause that unfairly limits consumers' rights has no effect.
Brazil Your rights under the Consumer Defense Code (CDC) are not affected. Clauses that limit your rights are shown in bold in these terms (Article 54(4)). You can also use the consumer protection agencies (Procon) and consumidor.gov.br.
Mexico Under the Federal Consumer Protection Law, you can cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store subscription settings, and the App Store tells you before it renews. You can file a complaint with the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco).
Argentina You can withdraw within the withdrawal period (withdrawal button) and cancel your subscription anytime (cancellation button). For subscriptions bought on the App Store, you do both through Apple.
Chile You can exercise your rights under the Consumer Protection Law and file complaints with the National Consumer Service (SERNAC).
Colombia You can exercise your rights under the Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011) and file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
